Read an Invoice
The account owner will receive a copy of their invoice every month to the email address we have on file. An administrator with billing access can pull up any historical invoice. For information on how to access historical invoices, click here.
The Nextiva invoice is broken down into an account summary section at the top and detailed information below.
Here is a sample invoice:
The top left portion of the invoice contains ownership information.
- Bill To: The address the invoice covers.
- Account Number: The number on the account where Nextiva can find you in our system.
- Terms: When the payment is due (e.g., immediately or Net 30, which means payment is due within 30 days).
- Contract Number: Details for the DocuSign contract on file for your account.
- Payment Method: The method Nextiva will be using to collect payment
The top right portion of the invoice contains a summary of the invoice.
- Invoice Number: The invoice number within the Nextiva billing system.
- Invoice Issued Date: The date the invoice was issued.
- Recurring: Any recurring monthly charges for this invoice, which usually include your service charges along with any other monthly charges.
- One-Time: Any one-time charges for this invoice, most commonly purchased devices.
- Usage: Toll-Free and International minute usage and/or overage charges.
- Taxes and Fees: The total taxes and fees associated with this invoice, for both recurring and one-time charges.
- This Invoice Total: The total amount due for this invoice.
- Invoice Status: Shows the status of the invoice (paid vs unpaid).
- Outstanding Balance: Shows the total outstanding balance, including any overdue charges or credits for the account.
The Invoice Details section describes the service location referenced in the invoice. If multiple locations are included, they will all be listed.
- Packages: The base package(s) included with your service
- Addons: Any additional addons purchased for your account.
- Quantity: The total number of each package or addon.
- Total Price: The total cost of the packages or addons.
- Taxes and Fees: A breakdown of the taxes and fees charged for this billing cycle. These taxes and fees are based on federal, state, and local rates and are subject to change based on the tax rates where your business is located.
The Outstanding Balance Details section includes a list of all unpaid invoices.
The next section includes all local phone numbers, fax numbers, and toll-free numbers on your account.
If you are not paying by credit card, the Remit To section instructs how to pay the invoice.
