Add a device
Register a new phone on your account and assign it to a user.
From a user profile
- 1Log in to the platform voice portal as an administrator.
- 2Open Users, choose the user, and select Voice Settings.
- 3Open Phone, click Change Phone, and select New Phone.
- 4Choose the make and model, enter the MAC address, and click Save.
From Device Management
- 1Log in to the platform voice portal as an administrator.
- 2Select Voice, then open the Phones & Devices tab.
- 3Click Add device, choose the phone model, and enter the MAC address.
- 4Click Save and Continue, select a user, then click Finish.
- 5Plug in the phone to complete setup (or follow your device guide if not purchased from Nextiva).
Assign a device to a user
Connect a device that is already on your account to a specific user.
From Manage Users
- 1Log in to the NextOS portal as an administrator.
- 2Open Users → Manage Users and select the user.
- 3Expand the Device section.
- 4Choose an existing device from Available Devices, or select Add Device to register a new one.
- 5Generate an authentication name and password, then click Save.
