Desk Phone without EHS

For instructions on connecting the headset to a desk phone with an Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) cable (sold separately), click here.

  1. Connect the end of the telephone interface cable to the back of the headset base unit.

  2. Disconnect the handset cord from the desk phone and insert it into the port on the telephone interface cable.
     
  3. Connect the other end of the telephone interface cable to the headset port on the desk phone.
     
  4. Remove the handset from the cradle.
     
  5. Press the Call Control button on the headset to hear a dial tone.
     
  6. Dial a test call from the desk phone. If needed, fine-tune the volume with the headset volume controls. You can also adjust the speaking and listening volumes on the desk phone.
     

NOTE: The minimum recommended separation distance between the desk phone and the headset base unit is 6 inches. Incorrect positioning may cause noise and interference problems that leads to poor audio quality.


Desk Phone with EHS


An Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) cable (sold separately) allows the headset to engage the phone without removing the handset from the cradle.

Follow the instructions below to connect your headset base unit to a desk phone using an Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) cable.
 

  1. Connect the end of the EHS cable to the back of the headset base unit.

    NOTE: The APP-51 EHS cable shown in the graphic below can be used with all Poly VVX phones, as well as a number of other devices. To check your phone for compatibility, click here.

  2. Connect the other end of the EHS cable to the desk phone as described in the EHS Adapter Getting Started guide that came with the cable. The desk phone and handset will continue to function like normal.
     
  3. Press the Call Control button on the headset to hear a dial tone.
     
  4. Dial a test call from the desk phone. If needed, fine-tune the volume with the headset volume controls. You can also adjust the speaking and listening volumes on the desk phone.

Pair to Bluetooth Device

  1. Turn on your headset and rest it comfortably on your head.
     
  2. Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button on the headset base unit for 4 seconds until the Bluetooth LED flashes red and blue.

  3. Go to the Bluetooth settings on the mobile device and select PLT Savi.
     
  4. Wait for the Bluetooth light on the headset base unit to turn solid blue to confirm a successful connection.
     
  5. Tap the Mobile Audio Button on the top of the headset base unit.
     
  6. Dial a test call from the mobile device. If needed, fine-tune the volume with the headset volume controls. You can also adjust the volume on the mobile device.
