Panasonic HDV-230 - Setup Instructions

- Add the Device to the account and assign it to a user.
- Check the firmware
- From the main screen, select Menu → Basic Settings → Other Option → Embedded Web → On. The phone beeps indicating Embedded Web is now on.
- Press the Back soft key (left soft key) twice to go back to the main menu.
- Select System Settings → Status → IPv4 Settings → IP Address. Record the IP address that appears on the screen.
- Use your web browser to navigate to the IP Address of the phone. NOTE: If you are unable to navigate to the IP address, add /?x to the end of the IP address. Example: 192.168.1.210/?x.
- When prompted enter the username and password
- Username: admin
- Password: adminpass
- Username: admin
- Verify the firmware version that displays on the screen is version 06.000 or higher. If it is, continue with provisioning the phone . If the firmware version is lower than 06.000, follow the instructions below to upgrade the firmware.
- Click the Maintenance tab at the top of the screen.
- Click Firmware Maintenance on the left side of the screen.
- Enter http://dm.nextiva.com/dms/Nextiva_Service_Provider/KXHDV230/HDV230-07.200.fw in the Firmware File URL text box.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen. The phone should reboot. If it does not, manually reboot the phone by temporarily disconnecting the AC adapter from the back of the phone.
- From the main screen, select Menu → Basic Settings → Other Option → Embedded Web → On. The phone beeps indicating Embedded Web is now on.
- Enter the provisioning server
- Click the Maintenance tab at the top of the screen.
- Enter http://dm.nextiva.com/dms/Nextiva_Service_Provider/KXHDV230/HDV230-{mac}.cfg in the Standard File URL text box.
- Click the Save button. The phone should reboot. If it does not, manually reboot the phone by temporarily disconnecting the AC adapter from the back of the phone.
- The phone should then provision and register. If the phone displays Registering... on the screen after boot up, manually reboot the phone a second time.
- Click the Maintenance tab at the top of the screen.
