Configure Your AWS Portal
Create a bucket
- Log in to your AWS account.
- From the Console Home, click on the S3 service. If you do not see it under recently visited, click View all services, it will be in the Storage section.
- Create a bucket with the following settings:
- Bucket Type: General Purpose
- Bucket Name: <Name of your bucket>
- Object Ownership: ACLs disabled (recommended)
- Block Public Access settings for this bucket: Block all public access
- Bucket Versioning: Enable
- Default Encryption: Server-side encryption with Amazon S3 managed keys (SSE-S3)
- Bucket Key: Enable
- Bucket Type: General Purpose
- If your IAM configuration has limited permissions, you may need to create an access point.
- Click on your new bucket to open it
- Switch to the Access Points tab.
- Create an Access Point
- Access point name: <Name of your access point>
- Network origin: Internet
- Block Public Access settings for this Access Point: Block all public access
- Access Point policy: leave blank
- Access point name: <Name of your access point>
- Click on your new bucket to open it
Create an IAM Policy
- From your AWS portal, use the search feature to locate the IAM service.
- Under Access management, select Policies.
- Click Create Policy.
- Configure the following settings
- Select a service: S3
- Actions Allowed:
Set permissions for your user. The more secure option is the write-only permission.
Read/Write/Delete Permission Write Only Permission - List:
- ListBucket
- Read:
- GetBucketLocation
- GetObject
- Write:
- PutObject
- DeleteObject
- Write:
- PutObject
- List:
- Resources:
- Specific
- Add a bucket and an object by clicking Add ARNs.
- Resource bucket name: The name of the S3 bucket created above
- Resource object name: Check the Any Object Name option
- Add a bucket and an object by clicking Add ARNs.
- Specific
- Select a service: S3
- Click Next.
- Set a Policy name.
- Click Create.
Create an IAM User
- From your AWS portal, use the search feature to locate the IAM service.
- Under Access management, select Users.
- Click Create user.
- Enter a name for the user and click Next.
- Set the following options
- Permissions options: Attach policies directly
- Permissions policies: Search for and assign the policies created above
- Permissions options: Attach policies directly
- Click Next, then click Create user.
Create an Access Key and Secret
- From your AWS portal, use the search feature to locate the IAM service.
- Under Access management, select Users.
- Click on the User's name to open it
- Click on the Security Credentials tab.
- Click Create Access Key.
- Set the Use Case to Other.
- Click Next.
- Set the Description tag value to a description of the use case. For example: Upload call recording to the bucket.
- Click Create Access Key.
- Download the .csv file that contains the access key and secret.
- Click Done.
Configure the File Server in NCC
- Log in to your NCC account as an administrator.
- From the Options menu, search for and select File Server.
- Click the + Plus button to create a new file server.
- Configure with the following options:
- Name: Enter a name for the file server
- Description: (Optional) Enter a description for the file server
- Connection Type: Amazon S3
- Region: Find the region listed under your AWS bucket. For example, if your AWS bucket region is Europe (Stockholm) eu-north-1 select AWS - eu-north-1 in NCC.
- Storage Bucket: Enter the name of your AWS storage bucket.
NOTE: Region and Storage Bucket can be found in the AWS portal - Remote Folder: (Optional) Specify a folder inside your bucket where you'd like to save recordings.
- Timeout (ms): 600000
- Authentication Type: AWS Access key
- Access Key ID: Use the key from the .csv file generated above.
- Secret Access Key: Use the key from the .csv file generated above.
- Name: Enter a name for the file server
