Steps to Factory Reset
A device can be factory reset either from the physical device or from the web interface.
From the Device Settings
If the device does not fully start up, see the boot menu instructions.
- Press the Home button.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Navigate to Advanced Settings.
- Enter the admin password. By default, it is 456 or set by the user.
- Select Administration Settings.
- Select Reset to Defaults.
- Select Reset to Factory.
- Press the Yes softkey.
From the Boot Menu
- Unplug the phone and plug it back in to restart it.
- After the light for the mute and speaker buttons goes off, immediately hold down the 1, 3, and 5 buttons until the screen displays Enter Password to Reset Settings.
- Enter the admin password.
- Default Password: 456 (or set by the user on the first boot)
- NOTE: If you do not know the password, you can also enter the MAC address of the device (with lowercase letters).
- Use the softkey that shows 1->Aa to change between numbers, uppercase letters, and lowercase letters. Whatever is shown to the left of the arrow is the type of character entered into the phone (i.e., a->1A will cause lowercase letters to be entered).
- Default Password: 456 (or set by the user on the first boot)
- Press the OK softkey.
- If the password is correct, the phone will reboot and restore the factory default settings.
From the WebUI
- Press and hold 1, 4, and 7 for about 5 seconds to obtain the IP address.
- On a computer on the same network as the phone, open a web browser. The phone has to be on the same local network as the computer for this to work.
- Navigate to https://[device IP address] (i.e., https://10.1.10.127).
- When prompted, enter the password. By default, this is 456.
- Hover over Utilities and select Phone Backup & Restore.
- Click on Global Settings to expand the section.
- Click the Restore button.
- On the confirmation window that appears, click Yes.
