Factory Reset a Poly VVX Device Without the Admin Password

If you have purchased your device from a third-party vendor, please be aware that it is possible to disable these steps from working.  If these steps do not work, you will need the admin password to reset the device.
 

1. Write down the MAC address of the device, usually found on a sticker on the bottom.
    
2. Power cycle the device.
    
3. When the screen says Starting application press cancel to interrupt, press the cancel softkey.
    
4. During the countdown, hold down the 1, 3, and 5 keys until the screen changes, approximately 5 seconds.  If the device starts to boot up normally, start over from step 2.
    
5. Enter the device MAC address as the password; all letters should be lowercase.
    
   • Use the 1->A/a softkey to change between numbers, uppercase letters, and lowercase letters.  Whatever is on the left will be entered
      
6. Press the OK softkey.
    
7. If the password was entered correctly, the device will factory reset.
