Algo Paging Adapter

Paging Extension
To set up the Algo device as a paging extension, the device needs to be tied to its own extension.
- Add a generic SIP device to the user.
- Obtain the SIP credentials for the Algo on the user's profile.
- On a computer on the same network as the device, open a web browser and navigate to the IP address of the Algo.
- You may need to use an IP scanner to obtain the IP address of the device.
- You may need to use an IP scanner to obtain the IP address of the device.
- Click the basic settings tab.
- Enter the following information, making sure to fill out the Page Extension fields.
- SIP Domain: prod.voipdnsservers.com:5062
- Page Extension: SIP Username
- Authentication ID: Authentication name of the user.
- Authentication Password: Authentication password of the user
- SIP Domain: prod.voipdnsservers.com:5062
- Click Save.
Loud Ringer
To set up the Algo device as a loud ringer, the device should be assigned its own extension. This extension should be added to whatever teams or call groups to alert for ringing.
- Add a generic SIP device to the user.
- Obtain the SIP credentials for the device.
- On a computer on the same network as the device open a web browser and navigate to the IP address of the Algo.
- You may need to use an IP scanner to obtain the IP address of the device.
- You may need to use an IP scanner to obtain the IP address of the device.
- Click the basic settings tab.
- Enter the following information, making sure to fill out the Ring Extension fields
- SIP Domain: prod.voipdnsservers.com:5062
- Ring Extension: SIP Username
- Authentication ID: Authentication name of the user.
- Authentication Password: Authentication password of the user
- SIP Domain: prod.voipdnsservers.com:5062
- Click Save.
Emergency Alerts
Emergency Alert allows for an extension to be dialed to play a pre-recorded emergency message. This can be configured to just play the message one time, or to play until a cancel extension is dialed.
Within the Nextiva system, each alert will require its own user, and if the customer wishes to use the play until cancel option, a user will be needed for the cancel extension.
Below are the steps to configure:
- Add a generic SIP device to the user.
- Obtain the SIP credentials for the device.
- On a computer on the same network as the device open a web browser and navigate to the IP address of the Algo.
- You may need to use an IP scanner to obtain the IP address of the device.
- You may need to use an IP scanner to obtain the IP address of the device.
- Click the Basic Settings tab.
- In the SIP section, enter the domain prod.voipdnsservers.com.
- Click the Advanced Features tab.
- Select Emergency Alerts.
- Set the duration options.
- For each announcement, choose the enabled option and fill out the following information for each emergency alert user:
- Extension: SIP Username
- Authentication ID: Authentication name of the user.
- Authentication Password: Authentication password of the user
- Extension: SIP Username
- If using the Play Until Cancelled option, fill out the authentication details for the Call-to-Cancel user:
- Extension: SIP Username
- Authentication ID: Authentication name of the user.
- Authentication Password: Authentication password of the user
- Extension: SIP Username
8039 Video Intercom Setup
When setting up the Algo video door phones extra settings need to be configured beyond the standard registration information. This section focuses on the video configuration see the Paging Extension section for the basic SIP registration information.
Known Issues: NextivaONE desktop currently will NOT receive video from the device.
Settings
- After standard registration information is entered, navigate to the SIP Video Settings in the Web GUI of the device.
- Disable Request Media Bandwidth
- Change the SDP Attribute from sendonly to sendrecv.
The image below shows the successful setup of one of the devices. Other settings are highlighted to note they work with this setup, but full confirmation on whether they are required or not has not been done.
Network Settings
The steps below walk through how to set a static IP address on an Algo device.
- From the Web Interface, click the Advanced Settings tab.
- Under the Network tab, update the network settings.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page.
Troubleshooting
If the device is having issues with intermittent call failure, change the transport type to TCP. The default setting is Auto, and it will use UDP if left at Auto.
- Select the Advanced Settings tab.
- Select the Advanced SIP sub-tab.
- At the top of the section, update the SIP Transportation to be TCP.
