| The primary base must be configured before adding additional bases. All base units within a multi cell setup must be on the same firmware. |

The Rove B2 allows for two bases to be paired together in a mutli cell network. The Rove B4 allows for additional bases to be paired.
- Obtain the IP address of the base unit.
- From a paired handset, press the menu key. Click here for instructions to pair a handset to the base.
- Dial *47*
- A screen will display the MAC and IP address of the connected base.
- From a paired handset, press the menu key. Click here for instructions to pair a handset to the base.
- On a computer on the same network as the phone, open a web browser. The phone has to be on the same local network as the computer for this to work.
- Navigate to https://[device IP address] (i.e. https://10.1.10.127).
- When prompted, enter the login credentials. The default credentials are:
- Username: admin
- Password: admin
- On the left-hand side of the page, click DECT Wireless to expand the section, then select System.
- Scroll down to the Multi Cell Unit Settings section.
- In the Enable row, check the box in the Value column. If this box is greyed out, uncheck the box in the Default column.
- Ensure that each base in the network has the same value in the ChainID field. This is set to 512 by default, and only needs to be changed if you intend to have multiple multi cell networks.
- By default, the DataSyncMethod is set to Multicast; this is the recommended usage.
- Make sure your network administrator has Multicasting enabled on your network if using this setting.
- If you do not wish to use the Multicast option, you can use Peer to Peer. This will require you to enter the IP address of the primary base in the DataSyncIP field.
- Make sure your network administrator has Multicasting enabled on your network if using this setting.
- Click Submit at the bottom of the page to save the changes.
- Click Reboot at the top of the page.
- Repeat these steps for each base you wish to add to the multi-cell network, ensuring that the secondary bases share the same multi cell settings.
Mutli Cell Tips
- It can take up to 5 minutes of sync time to add a base station to a mutli cell network.
- Repeaters (not secondary bases) will auto-join only if the AC code is set to 0000
- The primary base will attempt to automatically build the Sync Tree based on proximity to the other bases. You can also adjust the tree in the WebUI.
