Factory Reset Steps

The X-8XX series phones can only be reset from the physical device.  If the device will not fully boot up, see this section.
 

1. Press the Settings button.
    
2. Scroll down and select the Maintenance option.
   
   
    
3. Select Reset Values.
   
   
    
4. Enter the admin password, use the Edit Mode softkey to change the type of character being typed in.
   
   
    
   • By default, no password is required.  For a provisioned device, contact support for the password.
      
5. Press the check button.
    
6. The device will factory reset.
    

Boot looping device

This method should only be used if the above method is not possible.
 

1. Unplug the device from power.
    
2. Power the phone on.
    
3. As soon as the phone has power, hold down the # key.
   
   NOTE: It takes approximately 45 seconds for the phone to pull up rescue mode.
    
4. Once in rescue mode, press 1 to reset settings.
   
   
    
5. The screen will go black, and the buttons will light up for 3 - 5 minutes while the phone resets.
    
6. Go through the initial setup of the phone:
    
   • Select the language.
      
   • Select the time zone.
      
   • Select the tone scheme as USA.
