If you have purchased your device from a third-party vendor, please be aware that it is possible to disable these steps from working.  If these steps do not work, you will need the admin password to reset the device.
 

1. Write down the MAC address of the device, ususally found on a sticker on the bottom.
    
2. Power cycle the device.
    
3. As soon as the headset and speakerphone buttons light up (also the Poly logo first appears at this point), press and hold the 1, 3, and 5 keys down.
    
4. After approximately 10 seconds the screen will prompt to enter the password to reset the device settings.  If the device boots up normally, return to step 2.
    
5. Enter the device MAC address as the password, all letters should be lowercase.
    
   • Use the 1->A/a softkey to change between numbers, uppercase letters, and lowercase letters.  Whatever is on the left will be entered
      
6. Press the OK softkey.
    
7. If the password was entered correctly, the device will factory reset.
