Manually Configure your Cisco SPA Series Phone

  1. Add the device to the account as a Generic SIP device.  Ensure you document the SIP Username, Authentication Name, and Authentication Password.

  2. Obtain the IP address by pressing the menu key (looks like a page with the top right corner folded) and pressing option 9.
     
  3. On a computer on the same network as the phone, open a browser and navigate to the phone's IP address.  The phone has to be on the same local network as the computer for this to work.

  4. In the upper right-hand corner of the page, click Admin Login.

    If prompted, the default credentials are:

    Username: admin
    Password: cisco

  5. Click Advanced on the upper right-hand side of the page.

  6. Click on Ext 1 under the voice tab.

  7. Change the following settings:

    • Line Enable: Yes

    • SIP Port: 5062

    • SIP Transport: TCP



    • Proxy: prod.voipdnsservers.com:5062

    • Outbound Proxy: prod.voipdnsservers.com:5062



    • User ID: SIP Username of the user (obtained from the user device settings)

    • Password: Device Password of the user (obtained from the user's device settings)

    • Auth ID: Authentication Name of the user (obtained from the user device settings)



  8. Scroll to the bottom and click Submit All Changes.

SPA 525

  1. Add the device to the account as a Generic SIP device.  Ensure you document the SIP Username, Authentication Name, and Authentication Password.

  2. Obtain the IP address of the device

    1. Press the Menu button (looks like a page with the top right corner folded).

    2. Select Status.

    3. Select Network Status.

    4. Scroll down to the IP address.

  3. On a computer on the same network as the phone, open a browser and navigate to the phone's IP address.  The phone has to be on the same local network as the computer for this to work.

  4. Click Admin on the upper right-hand side of the page.

  6. Select the Ext 1 tab under the voice tab.

  7. Fill out the following information

    • Line Enable: Yes

    • User ID: SIP Username of the user (obtained from the user device settings)

  8. Click Submit All Changes at the bottom of the page.
