Device Profile Selection
For help adding devices, please see Add a Device. Use the table below as a reference for which profile to select:

Note: Due to the age of this series, the profile can't be added to new accounts. If the device profile doesn't appear in your administrator portal, the device will have to be added as a Generic SIP device. The device will have to be manually provisioned.
Provisioning Instructions
For the SPA 525 see these instructions.
- Obtain the IP address by pressing the menu key (looks like a page with the top right corner folded), and press option 9.
- On a computer on the same network as the phone, open a web browser. The phone has to be on the same local network as the computer for this to work.
- Click Admin on the upper right-hand side of the page.
If prompted the default credentials are:
Username: admin
Password: cisco
- Click Advanced on the upper right-hand side of the page.
- Click Provisioning.
- Enter the profile rule and firmware upgrade rule based on the device found below.
- Click Submit All Changes.
- The phone will reboot automatically. One minute after it comes back online, unplug the power for a minute then power it back on.
- Another minute after booting up, the phone should reboot automatically for a third reboot and come up fully provisioned.
Cisco 525 Instructions
- Obtain the IP address by pressing the menu key (looks like a page with the top right corner folded) and pressing option 9.
- Select Network Status.
- Scroll down to the IP address.
- On a computer on the same network as the phone, open a web browser. The phone has to be on the same local network as the computer for this to work.
- Click Admin on the upper right-hand side of the page.
If prompted the default credentials are:
Username: admin
Password: cisco
- Click Advanced on the upper right-hand side of the page.
- Click Provisioning.
- Enter the profile rule and firmware upgrade rule based on the device found below.
- Click Submit All Changes.
- The phone will reboot several times and may also update its firmware.
- If the phone does not provision, manually reboot the phone from the web interface (WebUI) by replacing the word advanced in the page URL with the word reboot (i.e. 192.168.1.203/admin/reboot). If the only thing missing is the auth details, go to step 12.
- Click the Ext tab for the line you are setting up.
- Scroll down and enter the following information
- User ID: SIP Username/Lineport
- Password: Password
- Auth ID: Authentication Name
- User ID: SIP Username/Lineport
- Click Submit All Changes at the bottom of the page.
