Before trying to configure a headset, check Nextiva Headset and Device Compatibility to confirm the headset will work with the device you are using.

Poly Voyager 5200

Nextiva only sells the Bluetooth-compatible version of this device. The steps below walk through how to get the Voyager 5200 paired via Bluetooth.

Pair the BT700 with the headset

The BT700 that comes with the headset should already be paired to the Voyager Focus 2; however, if a separate dongle is purchased, it will need to be paired to the headset. To pair the BT700 with the Voyager 5200, you will need a computer.

  1. On the computer, download and install the Poly Lens App
  2. Plug in the BT700 Bluetooth dongle to a USB port on the computer.
  3. Open the Poly Lens App.
  4. Click on the BT700 dongle.
  5. Update the dongle if there is an available update.

The mute key on the headset will not work correctly through Bluetooth.

The CP 8841 does not have Bluetooth capabilities and is NOT compatible with the Voyager 5200 sold by Nextiva.

See the article Cisco CP Series - Connecting a Bluetooth Headset for instructions on how to pair a Bluetooth device to the phone.  To enable pairing mode on the Voyager 5200, hold the multi-function button down for 4 seconds

Poly VVX x50

The BT700 (not sold by Nextiva) is required to connect the Voyager 5200 to a VVX X50 device. The VVX 150 is not compatible because it does not have a USB port.

The answer/hangup key does not integrate with this model phone.

  1. Ensure the BT700 is paired to the Voyager 5200.
