Provisioning Instructions

  1. Add the device to the account and assign it to a user.
     
  2. Determine the IP Address
     
    1. Press the MENU button.
       
    2. Scroll down and select Status.
       
    3. Select Network. The IP address of the phone is displayed on the screen.
       
  3. Enter the provisioning server into the phone
     
    1. On a computer on the same network as the phone type the IP address into a web browser.
       
    2. Log in to the phone
       
      • Default username: admin
         
      • Default password: admin 
         
    3. Click SERVICING at the top-left.
       
    4. Enter http://dm.nextiva.com/dms/Nextiva_Service_Provider/VTech_VCS752/ into the Server URL box.
       
    5. Click Save.
       
  4. Reboot the phone from the WebUI
     
    1. While still logged in to the phone and on the Provisioning screen, click Reboot on the far-left side of the screen.
       
    2. Click the blue Reboot button in the middle of the screen. The phone reboots, provisions, and registers to Nextiva.
       

 


Advanced Network Configuration

Disabling DHCP

  1. Press the MENU button.
     
  2. Scroll down and select Admin settings option by using the SELECT softkey.
     
  3. Press the 123 softkey to switch to letters, then enter the admin password. By default, this is admin.
     
  4. Press the Enter softkey.
     
  5. Select Network setting.
     
  6. Press the right key on the navigation wheel on IPv4 to get to the Mode selection.
     
  7. Press the right key on the navigation wheel in IP Type and see the message Enabling Static IP will set Static DNS in use.
     
  8. Press the Save softkey.
     

After disabling DHCP, the home screen will display “Line(s) unregistered”, and programmable key 1 will blink orange until either the phone is configured with a static IP or DHCP is re-enabled. Follow the steps below to configure a static IP address:


Configure a Static IP Address

  1. Press the MENU button.
     
  2. Scroll down and select Admin settings option by using the SELECT softkey.
     
  3. Press the 123 softkey to switch to letters, then enter the admin password. By default, this is admin.
     
  4. Press the Enter softkey.
     
  5. Select Network setting.
     
  6. Press the right key on the navigation wheel on IPv4 to get to the Mode selection.
     
  7. Press the right key on the navigation wheel in IP Type and see the message Enabling Static IP will set Static DNS in use.
     
  8. Using the dial pad, enter the desired static IP address for the phone.NOTE: To enter a period between the octets in the IP address, press the Add dot softkey.
     
  9. Press the down navigation key to highlight the Subnet mask field, and then enter the subnet mask.
     
  10. Press the down navigation key to highlight the Gateway field, and then enter the default gateway IP address.
     
  11. Press the Save softkey.
     

After the static IP address has been configured, you need to configure the primary and secondary DNS servers. 


DNS Server Configuration

  1. Press the MENU button.
     
  2. Scroll down and select Admin settings option by using the SELECT softkey.
     
  3. Press the 123 softkey to switch to letters, then enter the admin password. By default, this is admin.
     
  4. Press the Enter softkey.
     
  5. Select Network setting.
     
  6. Press the right key on the navigation wheel on IPv4 to get to the Mode selection.
     
  7. Select Set Static DNS and press SELECT.
     
  8. Press the down navigation key to highlight the DNS 1 field, then enter the IP address of the primary DNS server; 8.8.8.8 is recommended.
     
  9. Press the down navigation key to highlight the DNS 2 field, then enter the IP address of the secondary DNS server; 8.8.4.4 is recommended.
     
  10. Press the Save softkey.
     

Enabling DHCP

If the phone displays an incorrect time and date (00:00 and 01/01/14), that may be caused by the phone being configured with an incorrect static IP address. Below are the steps to enable DHCP on the phone:

  1. Press the MENU button.
     
  2. Scroll down and select Admin settings option by using the SELECT softkey.
     
  3. Press the 123 softkey to switch to letters, then enter the admin password. By default, this is admin.
     
  4. Press the Enter softkey.
     
  5. Select Network setting.
     
  6. Select DHCP.
     
  7. Press the right navigation button to change the DHCP status to Enabled.
     
  8. Press the Save softkey.
     
  9. Reboot the phone by disconnecting the power supply from the back of the phone, and then reconnecting it.
     

 


Wireless Device Setup and Options Guide

It is possible to connect wireless devices in the following ways:

  • Bluetooth-equipped cell phones and/or headsets. A total of four Bluetooth devices can be paired, but not all of them can be connected and active. Two cell phones, one cell phone, and one headset, or one headset can be connected at a time.
     
  • VTech VCS850 SIP DECT Wireless Speakerphone (up to three)
     
  • VH6102 DECT Cordless Headset
     

Cellular Bluetooth Setup

  1. Press the Menu Key.
     
  2. Select the Features option.
     
  3. Scroll down and select the Bluetooth option.
     
  4. Scroll down and select Add device.
     
  5. Select Add cellular. A message stating If cell is connected to other Bluetooth device, please disconnect it.
     
  6. Select the Next softkey. A message stating Put the cell to be added next to the base.
     
  7. Select the Next softkey. A message stating Set the cell to search for VCS752 is displayed, and the Cell 1 and Cell 2 lights will flash while in discoverable mode.

    NOTE: If the lights keep flashing, the device did not pair successfully. If the menu resets, go back into the menu as described above and press the Cancel softkey on the Set the cell to search for VCS752 screen and select Cancel.
     
  8. On the cellular device, search for devices and select 52. The message Adding new device to device list is displayed, and the phone has been successfully paired.
     

 

Bluetooth Headset Setup

  1. Press the Menu Key.
     
  2. Select the Features option.
     
  3. Scroll down and select the Bluetooth option.
     
  4. Scroll down and select Add device'.
     
  5. Select Add headset. A message stating If Bluetooth headset is connected to other cells, please disconnect it will display. Select the Next softkey.
     
  6. Select the Next softkey on the Please set Bluetooth headset to discoverable mode.
     
  7. Cell 1 and Cell 2 lights will flash while in discoverable mode.
     
  8. Ensure the headset is in discoverable mode. The message Adding new device to device list is displayed if the headset is successfully paired.
     

 

Registering VCS850 Wireless Expansion Speakerphone

  1. Press the Menu Key.
     
  2. Scroll down and select the User settings option.
     
  3. Scroll down and select Wireless speaker.
     
  4. Select the Register option.
     
  5. On the VCS850 (which should have all of the lights blinking red intermittently if the speaker is not registered), look at the bottom and press and hold the Registration button.
     
  6. Red and green flashing lights will signify a successful registration.
     

 

If Unable to Register a Second or Third Wireless Reciever


A device may already be registered and may need to be deregistered.

  1. On the VCS752 SIP Conference Phone, press MENU.
     
  2. On the Main Menu, highlight User settings, then press SELECT.
     
  3. On the User Settings menu, highlight Wireless speaker, then press SELECT.
     
  4. On the Wireless speaker menu, highlight Deregister, then press SELECT.
     
  5. The screen displays Deregistering... and the Wireless speaker(s) will be deregistered.
     
  6. Attempt to register again.
     

 

Locate a Misplaced Wireless Microphone

 

  1. Press the Menu Key.
     
  2. Scroll down and select the Status option.
     
  3. Scroll down and select the Wireless microphone option.
     
  4. Highlight the microphone to locate and select the Locate softkey. The microphone will beep for about 30 seconds. Follow the same steps to reattempt to locate the microphone.
     

 


Factory Reset

Through the Phone's Menu

  1. Push the MENU button.
     
  2. Scroll down and select Admin Settings.

    NOTE: To select a menu option, press the SELECT button.
     
  3. Press the 123 softly to switch to the letters, then enter admin (if provisioned the PW is nextiva) as the password.
     
  4. Press the Enter softkey.
     
  5. Select Reset to default.
     
  6. Press the Yes softkey to confirm you want to factory reset the phone.
     

 


Through the WebUI

  1. Determine the device IP address
     
    1. Press the MENU button.
       
    2. Scroll down and select Status.

      NOTE: To select a menu option, press the SELECT button.
       
    3. Select Network. The IP address of the phone is displayed on the screen.
       
  2. Open a web browser on your computer, and navigate to the IP address of the phone. You are prompted to log in.
     
  3. Log in to the phone
     
    • Default username: admin
       
    • Default password: admin 
       
  4. Click SERVICING at the top-left.
     
  5. Click Provisioning on the far-left side of the screen.
     
  6. Scroll down, then click Reset at the bottom of the screen.
     
  7. Click OK when the pop-up message appears asking if you want to reset the phone to defaults.
     
  8. Click Save.
