Steps to Factory Reset
From the WebUI
- To find the IP Address of the device, you will start by selecting the
button (this is Settings).
- Select Status.
- Select Network Status.
- The IP Address will be listed to the right of the IP address field.
- Navigate to the IP address of the phone obtained above in the web browser of a computer on the same network.
- Click Admin Login in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
- Click the Debug Info tab on the info page.
- Click the Factory Reset button.
- Click Confirm Factory Reset within 10 seconds. If you do not click the confirm link, the web page will take you back to the main page.
- The device will perform a factory reset.
- As the device comes back online, it will ask to set a new password. It is recommended to skip this step, as the provisioning process will define a password for the device.
NOTE: If the phone comes back from a factory reset prompting for an activation code, the WebUI is still accessible and the phone can be provisioned.
From the device
The Cisco CP series can be reset from the device by following these steps:
- Press the settings
button.
- Scroll to and select Device Administration.
- Scroll to and select Factory Reset.
- Select OK when prompted to confirm factory reset.
- The device will perform a factory reset.
- As the device comes back online, it will ask to set a new password. It is recommended to skip this step, as the provisioning process will define a password for the device.
NOTE: If the phone comes back from a factory reset prompting for an activation code, the WebUI is still accessible and the phone can be provisioned.
