The Cisco CP 8861 and 8865 are the only models sold by Nextiva that support WiFi.
Configure WiFi from Startup
The devices should prompt to configure WiFi upon startup if there is no Ethernet connection.
- Power on the device, do NOT have an Ethernet cable plugged in.
- The device should prompt with an option to scan for Wi-Fi networks; if it does not, click here.
- Push the Wi-Fi Scan softkey.
- Using the directional pad, highlight the desired network from the list and press the Select softkey.
- If the network is secure, using the directional pad, scroll down to the Passphrase field.
- Enter the WiFi password.
- Press the Connect softkey.
- The device will connect to the WiFi network, and a WiFi symbol will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the screen if successful.
Configure WiFi from Settings
- Press the Settings button on the phone.
- Scroll down and select Network Configuration.
- Scroll down and select Wi-Fi Configuration.
- Use the left/right directional keys to turn WiFi on.
- Press Set.
- Scroll down and select Wi-Fi profile.
- Press the Scan softkey.
- Using the directional pad, highlight the desired network from the list and press the Select softkey.
- If the network is secure, using the directional pad, scroll down to the Passphrase field.
- Enter the WiFi password.
- Press the Connect softkey.
- The device will connect to the WiFi network, and a WiFi symbol will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the screen if successful.
