X-658 Basic Use

Transfer A Call

To transfer an active call:
 

1. With an active call on the phone, press the Menu/Func. button on the phone
    
2. Scroll down and select Transfer.
    
3. In the menu that appears there are three options select the option to use with the transfer
    
   • A call (announce) will warm transfer the call
      
     1. Dial phone number or extension to transfer the call to
         
     2. After speaking to the receiving party, press Select to complete the transfer
         
   • A call (blind) will blind transfer the call
     1. Enter the phone number or extension to transfer the call to
         
     2. Press select to transfer the call
         
   • A held party will transfer the call to a call currently on hold
      
     1. Use the Up/Down buttons to select the call on hold to transfer the active call to
         
     2. The active call will be on hold and you can speak to the receiving party
         
     3. When ready to transfer, press Select to complete the transfer
         

Conference Call (3-way call)

The X-658 can host a local 3-way call.  While this call is active it cannot transfer or conference in additional parties.  When the X-658 disconnects all parties in the conference will drop.

To start a conference call
 

1. With an active call on the phone, press the Menu/Func. button on the phone
    
2. Scroll down and select Conference.
    
3. In the menu that appears select one of the two options
    
   • A new party
      
     1. Enter the phone number of the party you are adding to the call
         
     2. After they answer, press the Select button to join the callers together
         
     3. When the call is finished hang up
         
   • A held party
      
     1. Use the Up/Down button to select the call on hold to conference with
         
     2. The active call will be on hold and you can speak to the other party
         
     3. When ready to start the conference press Select.
         
     4. When the call is finished hang up
