Panasonic KX-TGP 500/550 - Provisioning Instructions

The TGP500 and TGP550 no longer auto-provision.  These devices should now be added as Generic SIP devices on an account and manually provisioned.  Below are the steps to manually provision the device.

 

  1. Obtain the IP address
     
    1. On a TPA 50 handset paired to the base press the Menu softkey.
       
    2. Scroll and select IP Service.  The icon looks like a toolbox.
       
    3. Scroll and select Network settings.
       
    4. Scroll and select IP settings.
       
    5. The IP address should be displayed.
       
  2. Enable the web interface
     
    1. On a TPA 50 handset paired to the base, press the Menu softkey.
       
    2. Scroll and select IP Service.  The icon looks like a toolbox.
       
    3. Scroll and select Network settings.
       
    4. Scroll and select Embedded Web.
       
    5. Select On.
       
  3.  On a computer on the same network as the phone, open a browser and navigate to the IP address of the phone.
     
  4. Log in as an administrator; the default credentials are
     
    1. Username: admin
       
    2. Password: adminpass
       
  5. Navigate to the VoIP Tab, select the SIP Line you are provisioning, and enter this information in each of the relevant fields

 

Phone Number: (Enter the Employee Extension/Phone Number)
Line ID: SIP Username
Registrar Server Address: prod.voipdnsservers.com
Registrar Server Port: 5062
Proxy Server Address: prod.voipdnsservers.com
Proxy Server Port: 5062
Presence Server Address: N/A
Presence Server Port: N/A (Default to 5060 or 5062)
Outbound Proxy Server Address: prod.voipdnsservers.com
Service Domain: prod.voipdnsservers.com
Source Port: 5083
Authentication ID: Authentication Name
Authentication Password: Authentication Password
