Each handset can be configured to have its own behavior for the left and right softkeys as well as the up and down directional pad buttons.

To change the behavior of these buttons:
 

1. Press and hold the softkey or directional button you wish to make a change to for about 5 seconds.
    
2. A list of options will appear to choose from.
    
3. Use the directional pad to highlight the desired option.
    
4. Press the OK button to set that option.
