Steps to Factory Reset
A device can be factory reset either from the physical device or from the web interface.
From the Device Settings
If the device does not fully start up, see the device startup instructions.
- Tap the three lines in the upper right-hand corner to open the menu.
- Tap on Settings.
- Tap on Advanced.
- Enter the admin password. By default, it is 456.
- Tap Administration Settings.
- Tap Reset to Defaults.
- Tap Reset to Factory.
- Tap Yes.
- Reprovision the phone using the steps found in Poly CCX - Provisioning Instructions
From Device Startup
- Unplug the phone and plug it back in to restart it.
- Depending on the model do one of the following:
- CCX 400: Once the message waiting light turns red, press and hold all four corners of the screen simultaneously.
- CCX 500 or CCX 600: Once the Poly logo appears the second time, press and hold all four corners of the screen.
- CCX 400: Once the message waiting light turns red, press and hold all four corners of the screen simultaneously.
- Once the mute key begins to cycle through several colors, release the screen.
- The phone will restart and reset to factory.
From the WebUI
- Tap the three lines in the upper right-hand corner to open the menu, the IP address is displayed at the top.
- On a computer on the same network as the phone, open a web browser. The phone has to be on the same local network as the computer for this to work.
- Navigate to https://[device IP address] (i.e. https://10.1.10.127).
- When prompted, enter the password. By default, this is 456.
- Hover over Utilities and select Phone Backup & Restore.
- Click on Global Settings to expand the section.
- Click the Restore button.
- On the confirmation window that appears, click Yes.
- Reprovision the phone using the steps found in Poly CCX - Provisioning Instructions.
