Poly - Startup Password

For Poly phones at or above 6.3 firmware, the password will need to be updated either when first setting up the device or after factory resetting the device.  This is to maintain California password compliance.  
 

1. Enter the current password in the Old Password field.
    
   • Default password: 456
      
2. Press the down arrow and enter a new password in the New Password field.
    
   • This can NOT be the same as the Old Password.  It is recommended to use something simple for the initial password.
      
3. Press the down arrow to re-enter the new password in the Confirm Password field.  You may need to scroll down to find this field.
    
4. Press the Enter softkey.
    

NOTE: If you receive a password is too short error, verify something was entered into the New Password and Confirm New Password fields.

After setting a new password, the Web Interface (WebUI) will unlock, and the device can be provisioned.
