Poly - Change Base Profile · Support Portal

All devices sold by Nextiva should be configured to auto-provision once assigned to a user; however, if you purchased your phone from a third-party vendor it may be configured for use with Skype for Business. In this configuration, the device will not be able to properly provision to the Nextiva server.

The base profile can be changed from the phone menu or the web interface.

Press the home key to open the menu
Scroll and select Settings.
Select Advanced settings.
Enter the admin password, the default password is 456.
Select Administration Settings.
Select Network Configuration.
Scroll down and select Base Profile.
Set this to Generic.
Press the Back softkey.
Select Save config.
The device will reboot and apply the change.

Web Interface

Press and hold 1, 4, 7 for about 5 seconds to obtain the IP address, MAC address and firmware version.
On a computer on the same network as the phone, open a web browser. The phone has to be on the same local network as the computer for this to work.
- You may also need to turn on Web Server Configuration in the phone:
  1. Press the Home button.
  2. Select Settings
  3. Scroll down and select Advanced. The admin password by default is 456.
  4. Select Admin Settings.
  5. Scroll down to Web Server configuration
  6. Set it to Enabled and set Web Config Mode to HTTP/HTTPS.
  7. Press the back softkey and choose Save Config. The phone may reboot.
Navigate to https://[device IP address] (i.e. https://10.1.10.127).
When prompted enter the password, by default, this is 456.
Select Simple Setup at the top of the screen.
Click Base Profile to expand the section.
Select Generic from the drop-down menu.
Click Save at the bottom of the page.
The phone will reboot and apply the change.
