Unity - Call Recording

Call Recording will only appear in Unity if a recording license is assigned to your user.

The recording button in the Unity client is used to adjust and control call recording while on a call.  While not on a call, you can right-click on the button to adjust your user's call recording settings.

Recording options:

  • Always - Every call will be recorded

  • On Demand - Records entire call if feature access code to start recording is used. Once recording is enabled, it cannot be turned off. You can use pause and resume to pause parts of the call.

  • Never - Calls will not be recorded at all

  • Always with Pause/Resume - Records the entire call, does allow feature access codes to pause and resume recording.

  • On Demand with User Initiated Start - Records the call from when the feature access code to start recording is used. You can also use pause and resume to pause parts of the call. If recording is stopped and started again, a new recording file is created.

If call recording is set to either Always with Pause/Resume, On Demand, or On Demand with User Initiated Start, the recording button can be used while on a call to control call recording, and the Status portion of the active call table will reflect the current recording state.

If set appropriately, while on a call, click the recording button.  The status message for the active call will update to reflect if the call is being recorded, if recording is paused, or if it is not recording.
