Unity - Installation and Logging In
System Requirements
Nextiva currently supports version 8.9.3 of the desktop application. This can be updated through the application settings.
NOTE: The desktop application is only for computers running Windows OS. Those running macOS can still use the web versions. Be aware, there are some limitations to the web-based version of Unity. For links to access the web version and more information about the limitations, click here.
- Unity will require approximately 500MB of hard drive space on the local machine
- By default the install directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Unity Client
- Minimum computer spec: CPU: dual core 3GHz. Ram: 4GB. Video Card: 256MB onboard RAM. As a general note, the requirements to run Unity Agent are considerably less than those required to run Windows
- Unity can be rolled out as an MSI file, which supports Active Directory group profiles
- Unity is only supported on Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Windows 11
- Both 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows are supported. There are no special permissions required to install Unity
Installation and First-Time Setup
Please be aware the first time you log into the Unity Client, you will start a 14-day trial for the product. Once you have signed in, submit a case to the support team requesting a Unity license be assigned to your user. We are unable to assign a license to a user who has not started the trial.
- Download the Unity client.
- Double-click the downloaded file to open it.
- Work through the installation wizard.
- Locate the Unity shortcut that will be either on the desktop or in the Start menu.
- The first time launching a message will display Authentication details have not been provided or are incomplete. Please enter this information. Click OK to bring up the settings.
- Enter your login credentials. Be sure to include the domain @nextiva.com with user ID. If you use your email to log in to the Nextiva portal, you will need to obtain your UserID for Custom Integrations.
- Click Network.
- For standard accounts, make sure that the server address is set to ucp.nextiva.com
- For HIPAA accounts, make sure the server address is set to cp.nhc.nextiva.com
- For standard accounts, make sure that the server address is set to ucp.nextiva.com
- Click OK.
