Modify the Music on Hold
Before changing the music on hold for your call center, please ensure you have uploaded the audio file to either the location where the call center is built or to the call center itself.
- Access your Call Center
- Click Announcements under the Basic column.
- Select the Music on Hold Message tab.
- Ensure the Enable music or video on hold for queued calls is checked.
- Select the Custom option.
- Select up to 4 different files to play. Each file will be played consecutively.
Upload Music on Hold
When uploading a file to use as music on hold, please ensure it meets the basic music on hold requirements.
- .wav
- 8 or 16 bits
- 8000hz
- Mono
- PCMU (may be called U-law or PCM Unsigned)
- No larger than 2MB
- No longer than 5 minutes in length
Once the file is in this format, follow the steps below to upload it to the call center.
- Access your Call Center
- Click Announcement Repository under the Basic column.
- Click Add.
- Enter a Name for the audio file.
- Click Choose File and select the file from where it is saved on your PC.
- Click OK.
