Meet-Me Conference Client

The Meet-Me Conference Moderator Client is a tool that can be used by moderators to control participants within a conference they are hosting.  With it, a moderator can mute and unmute individual participants, place single participants on hold, invite new participants, and disconnect participants.
 

Accessing the Moderator Client

The moderator client is accessed through cp.nextiva.com.  Users who log in to the Nextiva portal with their email address will need to get their credentials using the UserID for Custom Integrations.
 

1. Login to cp.nextiva.com with your user credentials.
    
2. Click Meet-Me Conferencing on the left-hand side of the page.
    
3. Click on Conferences under the Basic column.
   
   
   
    
4. Click on the conference you are moderating.
    
5. Click Launch Moderator Client towards the bottom of the page.
   
   
   
    
6. The client will open in a new window.
   
   
   
    

Using the Moderator Client

Dialing out to a participant

1. Enter the phone number of the person you want to call in the Dial Participant field.
    
2. Press Call.
   
   
   
    
3. The party dialed will receive a call inviting them to "Press 1 to join the conference"
    

Control Participants

Next to each participant in the conference are buttons used to control them during the conference.





Mute: Mutes or unmutes the participant.  The participant will hear a notification saying the moderator has muted or unmuted them.

Hold: Places the participant on hold.  The button changes to unhold to bring them back.  The participant will hear a notification saying the moderator has placed them on hold or retrieved them from hold.

End: Disconnects the caller from the conference.
 

Control Conference

In the upper right-hand corner, there are tools to control the entire conference.







 - Enable or disable lecture mode.  In lecture mode, only the moderator can speak.


 - Lock or unlock the conference.  When locked no participants can join.


 - This icon will record the conference.  When recording the icons will change:


 - Pause recording.  While recording is happening this will pause recording, resuming recording will add to the same recorded file.


 - Stop recording.  This will stop recording, if recording is started again, a new file will be generated.


 - This icon ends the conference, disconnecting everyone from the conference.


 - Show message history.  This will pull up a window of all messages given to participants by the system (held, muted, unmuted, recording status)
