Nextiva NEXT - Calendly Setup Guide
Overview
Use this guide to install and connect the Calendly integration from the NEXT Marketplace.
The Calendly integration gives Xbert AI Employees direct access to your Calendly scheduling. AI Employees can check free time slots, create new appointments, update existing meetings, and cancel bookings automating scheduling tasks without manual intervention and keeping your calendar accurate in real time.
Note: A Calendly account is required to use this integration. The Calendly integration is compatible with Xbert AI only.
Before You Begin
Ensure the following:

You have an active Calendly account.

You can access the Integrations page in your Calendly account.

You have permission to install apps in the NEXT Marketplace.
Install Calendly in NEXT
Step 1: Open the App in Marketplace

Select App marketplace in the left navigation.

Select Calendly.
-
Select Install.
You will see a confirmation screen titled:
You are about to add Calendly for NEXT

Select the checkbox to accept the Terms and Privacy Policy.

Select Next.
Step 2: Connect
On the Connect screen, complete the following fields:
Auth type
The Auth type field defaults to Personal access token. Leave this selection as is.
Personal access token
Generate a personal access token from your Calendly account and paste it into this field.
To generate a personal access token:

Log in to your Calendly account.

Navigate to Integrations.
-
Select the API & Webhooks tile.

Under Personal Access Tokens, select Get a token now.

Copy the generated token.

Return to NEXT.

Paste the token into the Personal access token field.
Important: Save the token in a secure location before leaving Calendly, as it may not be displayed again.
After entering the token, select Connect, then select Next.
Installation Complete
If the token is valid, you will see the Review screen confirming the installation is complete.
Select:

Done to exit, or
-
Manage apps to review the integration.
Verify the Connection
After installation:

Select App marketplace in the left navigation, then select Manage apps.

Select Calendly.
-
Confirm the status shows Active.
-
Initiate a test interaction in NEXT that involves a Calendly scheduling action.

Confirm the appointment or availability data appears correctly.
Troubleshooting
Invalid personal access token

Confirm you copied the full token without any extra spaces.

Verify the token was generated from the correct Calendly account.

If the token is no longer valid, return to Calendly → Integrations → API & Webhooks and generate a new token, then reconnect.
Integration status not showing Active

Return to App marketplace → Manage apps and check if the connection shows an error state.

Select Calendly and re-enter the personal access token.

Reconnect the integration.
Appointments or availability not syncing
-
Verify the personal access token belongs to the correct Calendly user with access to the relevant event types and calendars.

Confirm the token has not expired or been revoked in Calendly.

Reconnect the integration if necessary.
