Nextiva NEXT - Zoho CRM Setup Guide
Overview
Use this guide to install and connect Zoho CRM from the NEXT Marketplace.
The integration uses OAuth 2.0 authentication. During installation, you will provide Zoho connection details and authorize access to enable syncing of CRM data.
Before You Begin
Ensure the following:

You have Zoho CRM administrator access.

You can access the Zoho API Console:
https://api-console.zoho.com/ -
You can create a Server-based Application.

You have NEXT Marketplace install permissions.

You have secure storage for client credentials.
Important:
Zoho only displays the Client Secret once. Save it securely when created.
Required Connection Details
You will need the following values:

Account timezone
-
Data center
-
OAuth scopes
-
(Optional) Custom OAuth profile
-
Client ID and Client Secret
Prepare Zoho CRM
Create a Server-based Application

Navigate to: https://api-console.zoho.com/

Select Add Client.
-
Choose Server-based Applications.

Enter application details.
-
Paste the Redirect URL provided in the NEXT installer.

Select the correct data center.
-
Save the client.
After saving:
-
Copy the Client ID
-
Copy the Client Secret
Store both securely.
Configure Scopes
Ensure the app has access to required modules.
Typical scopes include:

Contacts
-
CRM modules
-
Settings
-
Files (if needed)
-
Users
Install Zoho CRM in NEXT
Step 1: Open the App in Marketplace

Navigate to Marketplace.

Select Zoho CRM.
-
Select Install.
-
Accept the Terms and Privacy Policy.

Select Next.
Step 2: Enter Connection Details
On the Connection Details screen:
Account Timezone
Enter the exact timezone string from your Zoho profile.
Example:
Chennai (+05:30)
Important:
This value must match exactly as shown in Zoho.
Data Center
Select your Zoho data center.
Examples:

Canada →

Europe →
eu -

in -
Japan →
jp
Note:
You can confirm your data center by visiting: https://accounts.zoho.com/ (You will be redirected to the correct region.)
Scopes
Select the required scopes or use default settings.
Typical default scopes include:

CRM modules access
-
CRM settings access
Note:
Leave default scopes unless your integration requires restricted access.
Custom Oauth Profile (Optional)

Leave blank unless your IT team has configured one.

Select only if explicitly instructed.
Connect
-
Select Connect.
-
Select Next.
Step 3: Sign in to Zoho
You will be redirected to Zoho.

Log in as a Zoho CRM admin.

Review requested permissions.
-
Select Accept.
You will be redirected back to NEXT.
Step 4: Installation Complete
If successful, you will see:
Installation Complete
Select:

Done to exit, or
-
Manage apps to review the integration.
Verify the Connection
After installation:

Navigate to Manage Apps → Zoho CRM.

Confirm the status shows Active.
-
Create a test record in NEXT.
-
Confirm it appears in Zoho CRM.
Troubleshooting
Oauth Authorization Failed
-
Verify the redirect URL matches exactly.
-
Confirm Client ID and Client Secret are correct.
-
Ensure correct data center is selected.
Invalid Timezone
-
Ensure the timezone string matches Zoho exactly.
-
Do not abbreviate or modify the format.
Records Not Syncing
-
Confirm selected scopes include required modules.
-
Verify the admin user has access to CRM data.
-
Reauthorize the integration if needed.
Token Expired
-
Navigate to Manage Apps → Zoho CRM.
-
Select Revalidate.
-
Complete OAuth authorization again.
