  1. Log into Nextiva CX from nextiva.com.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Select Organizer.

  4. Select the + Create button.

  5. Give your rule a clear and descriptive name so you can easily identify it later.

  6. Select the Workspace where you want this rule to apply. This ensures that the rule only affects interactions from the channels connected to that specific workspace.

  7. Configure Rule Options (Optional)

    • Fast Assignment: If enabled, this speeds up case assignment to workbaskets, but accuracy might be slightly reduced if you receive a high volume of messages at once.

    • Add Priority to Rule: Use this if you have multiple rules that could apply to the same interaction. The rule with higher priority will take precedence.

  8. Enter the Rule Activity Time. The rule could always be on or could be on for a customized number of hours.

  9. Define the "If This, Then That" Logic

    • Enter the If This, Then That Rule. The Organizer creates rules by automating an action if a specific situation occurs

    • IF: Enter a Rule for the Following Source. Select the source of the interaction from the drop down. For example, chat, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

    • Once selected, select Add

  10. Once you select add, additional information will appear asking what kind of action from that source should elicit a response. For example, Message contains a specific word.

  11. To add additional interactions from the channel, select Add Rule and enter more requirements for the rule.

  12. Select Add Group instead of Add Rule to provide an option to not include a specific interaction. For example, Message does not contain a specific word.

  13. Continue adding additional sources and the type of interaction until all have been added.

  14. THEN: Add an Action to be applied if the above situation occurs. Enter the action that should occur if the information occurs.

  15. Select the drop-down to select the action. There are several actions that can be selected. For more information on rule actions, click here.

  16. Select Add once the action has been selected.

  17. Additional information will appear based on the action type you selected. For example, if you select Alert Users, a list of the Users you could alert will appear.

  18. Continue adding actions until all actions have been added.

  19. Once complete, select Save.
