Sometimes you might need more granular control over what your team members can see and do in NextivaCX. That's where Custom Roles & Permissions come in. As the Account Owner, you have the power to create tailored roles that grant specific access levels to individuals or groups of users.

When to Use Custom Roles

  • Restrict access to sensitive data: Limit which team members can view or modify certain types of information.

  • Tailor permissions to specific tasks: Give users only the access they need to perform their specific jobs, reducing confusion and potential errors.

  • Streamline workflows: Ensure that each team member has the right tools and information at their fingertips.

How to Create a Custom Role

  1. Select Settings from the left-hand toolbar.

  2. Choose Roles and Permissions. Here, you can view the existing roles and their associated permissions.

  3. Select Add/Copy Role.

  4. Configure the Role:

    1. Role Name: Enter a clear and descriptive name for the new role.

    2. Role Description: (Optional) Provide a brief explanation of the role's purpose and responsibilities.

    3. Role Type: Choose whether this role is for an Admin or a User.

    4. Copy Existing Role: (Optional) If you want to base your new role on an existing one, select the role you want to copy.

  5. Under the Permissions section, you can fine-tune access for various areas of NextivaCX, including:

    • Organization

    • Profile

    • Workbasket

    • Carefully select the permissions you want to grant for each area.

  6. Once you're satisfied with your configuration, select Save.
