NextivaONE - Click to Dial

With NextivaONE, you can click a phone number in a browser and have the desktop application initiate an outbound call to that number.  This feature only calls through the NextivaONE desktop app and is not compatible with the web-based browser version of the app or the Push Call to another device feature.

 

Requirements

• TEL protocol is used on the number.
   
  • Currently, the NextivaONE app does not support CALLTO protocol.
     
• The web browser being used does not block pop-ups.
   

Windows Setup

Windows 10

1. In the Start menu search for and open Default apps.
   
   
    
2. Within the settings window scroll down and select Choose default apps by protocol.
   
   
    
3. Scroll down until you find the TEL: protocol.
    
4. Select the NextivaONE application.
   
   
    
5. The setting should save automatically.
    

Windows 11

1. In the Start menu search for and open Default Apps.
    
2. In the search bar, enter TEL.
   
   
    
3. If NextivaONE is not listed in the service, click on the service.
   
   
    
4. Select Nextiva from the list of options.
   
   
    
5. Click Set default.
    

MacOS Setup

1. Open the Mac Finder (CMD + Space is a shortcut to do this).
    
2. Search for Facetime.
   
   
    
3. Open Facetime Settings.
   
   
   
   NOTE: If Settings are greyed out, you must sign in using an Apple ID to access.
    
4. Change the Default for Calls option to Nextiva.
   
   
    
5. If using Chrome, when you click to dial it will prompt you to select Nextiva when calling now.
   
   
    

Using Click to Dial

1. On a website, hover over a clickable number and confirm in the bottom left-hand corner of the browser the tel: prefix is showing.
   
   
    
2. Click on the number to open a pop-up window.
   
   
    
3. Select NextivaONE to initiate a call to that number through the NextivaONE desktop app.
