Uploading Greetings to a User

This guide helps you upload audio files to a user on your account.  Files uploaded to a user can only be used by that specific user.  If you wish to upload a file for a location where it can be used by any user, team or call group, auto attendant, or call center, click here.

File Requirements

Audio files must adhere to the following requirements:
 

• PCM Uncompressed (µ-Law)
• .wav file format
• 8 or 16 Bit
• 8000 HZ
• Mono
• Under 2 MB

For instructions on how to upload an audio file, choose the image that looks most like your screen once logged in:

Upload Instructions

1. Log in to the voice portal as an administrator.
    
2. Hover over Users and select Manage Users.
    
3. Click on the user to modify.
    
4. Click to expand the Greetings section.
   
   
    
5. Click the Upload New Greeting link.
    
6. In the Greeting Name field, enter a descriptive name for the greeting and click Choose File to select the desired .wav file.
    
7. Click Upload.
    

The file can now be used for Voicemail greetings for this user.
