Advanced Device Settings

The Device Configuration page allows you to view the devices on your account, the users they are assigned to, and whether each device is online. Access the Device Configuration page by following the steps below:
 

1. Log in to your account as an administrator
    
2. From the main admin page, select Voice on the left-hand side of the page.
   
   
    
3. Select the Phones & Devices tab.
   
   
    

Configure Custom Line Keys

From this page, you can configure custom line keys. The following devices support line key modifications to:

• Duplicate (mirror) a line
• Monitor other users
• Set a speed dial

Supported Devices:

1Cisco devices can only have their BLF modified.

Duplicate a line

Duplicating lines (line mirroring) allows a line to appear on multiple keys so you can manage multiple calls simultaneously.


Steps:

1. From the device management page, click the vertical ellipses next to the device to modify
    
2. Click Edit.
    
3. Click the + (plus) icon next to the line to modify
    
4. Click the Edit pencil next to the user whose line you want duplicated.
   
   
    
5. Check the Duplicate user on additional lines box and select the number of additional line keys to assign to that user.
   
   
    
6. Click Save and continue, then click Save.
   
   
    
7. If the changes do not automatically apply, click the vertical ellipses and click Update Device.
   
   NOTE: The device may reboot to apply the changes.
    

Add Monitored Users (BLF)

If you are bulk modifying BLF for a user, it is recommended that the Busy Lamp Field settings be adjusted on the user's profile.

To modify BLF from the device settings:
 

1. Click the vertical ellipses next to the device to modify
    
2. Click Edit.
    
3. Click the + (plus) icon next to the line to modify. If necessary, click Show more lines to display all the line keys available on the phone.
    
4. In the Line Feature dropdown menu, select Monitor user.  
   
   NOTE: Depending on the phone model, monitored users will populate on the next available line key, not an arbitrary one.
    
5. From the User drop-down menu, select the user to monitor.
   
   
    
6. Click Save and continue, then click Save.
   
   
    

Speed Dial Line Key

You can configure specific line keys as speed dials to a particular number.

Steps:

1. Click the vertical ellipses next to the device to modify
    
2. Click Edit.
    
3. Click the + (plus) icon next to the line to modify. If necessary, click Show more lines to display all available line keys. 
    
4. In the Line Feature dropdown, select Add speed dial.
    
5. Enter the Name and Phone number (or extension) for the speed dial.
   
   
    
6. Click Save and continue, then click Save.
   
   
    
7. If the changes do not automatically apply, click the vertical ellipses and click Update Device.
   
   NOTE: The device may reboot to apply the changes.
