This article focuses on the phone menu call flow node. For general call flow information, return to the Call Flows article.
The phone menu node allows for an auto attendant to be crafted within the call flow, allowing callers to hear a greeting and select an option to route their call. Use the steps below to define the node.
Configure Phone Menu
- Set a greeting by either selecting one from the dropdown menu or uploading a greeting. For formatting requirements for uploaded files, see Uploading Announcements and Greetings.
Nextiva does offer professionally recorded greetings. For more information, see our professional recording page.
- In the Phone Menu section, choose numbers on the dial pad for options for callers to press.
- In the Menu Options section, give a short description of what each option is. The node cannot be saved if these are left blank.
- Scroll down to Advanced Options to set the operator option, this can be left blank if there is to be no default operator option.
- If applicable, choose the idle time after the greeting before the operator option is selected.
- To allow callers to dial an extension during the greeting, check the box Enable callers to dial extension.
- Click Save and Continue.
