Music on Hold

Music on hold is included with all Nextiva accounts. Below are 3 free options that can be uploaded to your account.
Custom music can also be uploaded and assigned. Nextiva has specific audio format requirements for Music on Hold:
- .wav
- 8 or 16 bits
- 8000hz
- Mono
- PCMU (may be called U-Law or PCM Unsigned)
- No larger than 2MB

Setup
- From the platform voice administrator portal, click Company & Locations on the left-hand side.
- Select the Locations Tab.
- Hover over the location to configure Music on Hold on and click the vertical ellipses on the right-hand side then click Voice Settings.
NOTE: There must be a user who has gone through voice setup on the location otherwise Voice Settings will NOT be present.
- The landing page for voice settings is currently the Music on Hold section, if that doesn't appear, click Music on Hold under the voice settings column.
- Click Add greeting.
- Click the Upload a greeting button.
- Drag and drop a file into the field, or click choose a file to select a file from your computer.
- Enter a name for the greeting in the Name This Greeting field.
- Click Save.
- The uploaded file will automatically be selected as the active location Music on Hold.
